people should take effort to let others know the good things. everyone is always wrapped up in voicing the negative. today i told a woman that i liked her shirt. not just that the shirt was nice but i told her that the shirt looked great on her. it was a simple observation and made sure to tell her. it was true and anyone would like to hear that truth about themselves. i once had a neighbor whom i never spoke with. i had given a few things from my garden to his wife and was on a wave and greet basis with her. he had always avoided me. one day he was just on my porch. the first time in four years. he wanted to tell me that my cat had eaten his flowers. i didn’t apologize. i offered him some juice and told him his shirt looked nice on him.

My nephew Dominics cowboy themed birthday cake.
Chocolate cake with american buttercream. Fondant and gum paste accents. The horses and cowboys are plastic toys I picked up from the store. Lettering is not my strongest skill obviously. I have some new pastry tips to practice with though.
